I could write the same as every other animal body worker and say that this is my “calling” but I’m not going there.
Instead I prefer to think of myself as 1-part architect, 1-part craftsman and 2-parts healer. Only now do I realize that I am just like my father and grandfather. Gramps was a mechanic and my father a carpenter. Gramps could work wonders with an engine and dad could build a house from the ground up or convert an old barn into a weekend home.
It’s quite obvious that my abilities went in a different direction, sort of. I work with a breathing, living creature that can communicate with a dance, a look, a sound. Since any problem presented is the end result of something, I have to unravel the mystery of the body that we call dog and horse. Then I have to help the body heal itself before I can help put it back together with expert handling, exercise, and performance.
Along the way I have had many wonderful teachers and many wonderful client animals. From the teachers I learn techniques. From the animals I get the energy to keep learning and performing. Thank you all.
